Ticket Tip: You do not need to get a ticket for this event. Donations are appreciated. This Storyswap is to be held outside the front of Cotters’ Yard. If the weather is bad the event may be moved indoors, in which case admission will be limited to a first-come-first-serve basis.
Ferry Tip: The morning ferry leaving Baltimore at 11am will get you in at approximately 11.45am- giving you some time to relax, look around the island, get a coffee and festival program before the stories start. Paddy Ó BrienStoryteller / Seanchaí & MC
Born in Co. Kerry, Paddy O’Brien is a natural storyteller who has appeared at Storytelling festivals all over Ireland. He has been a featured teller on many occasions at the world famous Cape Clear International Storytelling Festival.
Paddy can entertain any audience from age 3 to 103 with his fantastic stories, songs and verse – told in his own inimitable way.
Paddy worked on RTÉ television as presenter of “Dilín Ó Deamhas”, an Irish language TV programme for children (1982 /1986 ).
Paddy spent many happy years acting with Compántas Chorcaí ( Irish language drama ). This highly rated group presented shows throughout the island of Ireland.
Paddy has written stories, poems and songs in both Irish and English. He regularly writes material for children. His panto “Ali Baba agus an 40 TD’s” was staged at The Everyman Theatre, Cork.
