Storytelling Workshop with Minton Sparks 

27-30 October 2023 on Whiddy Island, Bantry Bay

Each of us has a story, that longs to find the light of day, but sometimes we need help bringing it up to the surface. Learn how to wonder and wander around on the page as you locate yourself within a particular time and place with this deep-dive writing workshop. No writing or performance experience is necessary.

Minton Sparks Biography

Storyteller Minton Sparks is a wildly original storyteller, teacher and songwriter. Minton teaches writing workshops at universities and professional organizations internationally and across the United States.

We are delighted to be running the October Storytelling Workshop and very fortunate  to welcome Minton Sparks as facilitator.

A fun and stimulating opportunity for aspiring storytellers, practicing storytellers, teachers of all levels, librarians, social workers, students, priests and politicians

Open to all but limited to 18 participants.

COST: all inclusive.

€310. There is a non-returnable €50 registration fee included in the total.

INSTRUCTION TIME:

c. 15 hours instruction. Starting Friday evening. Sessions start Saturday and Sunday promptly at 10:00h, end at 13:00h, begin again at 14:00h, end at 17:30h.

Evening stories optional, around the kitchen table.

On Monday we will meet 9:00 for a hour and half, before Morning ferry leaving at 11:00h or 13:45h

MEALS:

Friday evening Dinner meeting by 6pm in Bantry square, will be at own expense. The private Ferry will take the group to Whiddy Island after.

Lunch on Saturday and Sunday included in workshop price- will cater for all diets. Soup will be vegetable GF/ DF/ V. There will be an array of breads, salad, vegetables, fruits, hummus, cheese, ham, salami, cake and biscuits.

Accommodation in Schoolhouse Hostel, shared rooms, included in price.

1.You will receive an email-confirmation that you have been placed on the registration-list on a first-come first-served basis.

2. The whole amount €310 can be paid in advance, at the time of Registration, or a non-refundable registration deposit of €50 with full amount €310 paid by October 1st.

3. Make sure to pay the non-refundable registration fee within two weeks of your email confirmation. Please note that if you have not paid your registration fee within these two weeks, we might not be able to guarantee your place.

4. If all the places have been filled, we will keep your name on a reserve list should someone cancel.

5. When your place is secured, you will receive all workshop and venue information
